Winter Came Late

The weekend of January 13th, 2024 brought a bit of a winter ice storm. Corvallis, along with the rest of the PNW was hit pretty severely shutting down most of the towns roads, businesses and schools for the following 5 days. The ice made travel quite difficult but being the guardian of a particularly precious dog, I had no choice but to brave the icy neighborhood streets for her enjoyment. These are just a few of the things we saw on our walks "around town" aka my neighborhood in SE Corvallis...

Saturday, January 13, 2024 Everything but Dunawi Creek, which crosses under Technology Loop, is covered in a 1/4 inch layer of ice.

Saturday, January 13, 2024 No leaf left without an icy shield. 

Tuesday, January 16, 2024 The ice is finally starting to melt and the birds are out drying their feathers.
